The Federal Office of the BWA (Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade) received a SOCAR delegation, SOCAR is the state-owned energy company of the Republic of Azerbaijan, accompanied by representatives of Uniper SE. The purpose of the visit was an exchange between SOCAR’s human resources and communications departments and German partners, and to explore training opportunities for young managers.
In a discussion with BWA Managing Director Urs Unkauf, Dr Michael Hilmer, Vice President Gas Supply & Origination Caspian Region / South Caucasus of Uniper SE, and Orkhan Huseynov, Group Spokesman of SOCAR, explained the strategic importance of the German-Azerbaijani energy cooperation. The BWA is strongly committed to strengthening and intensifying German-Azerbaijani relations at all levels, including the traditional cooperation in the field of energy supply. The BWA will continue to support and constructively accompany the engagement of German companies in Azerbaijan in the energy sector and beyond.
